Zhanqing Li is a Web of Science Highly Cited Researcher

Web of Science has honored Dr. Zhanqing Li, Professor at ESSIC and University of Maryland’s Department of Atmospheric and Oceanic Science, as a Highly Cited Researcher, an honor bestowed to fewer than 6,200, or about 0.1%, of the world’s researchers, in 21 research fields and across multiple fields. One criterion for the list is to have multiple papers that are cited in the top 1% of publications in a field, as per the announcement by the Web of Science

 

Li is among this elite group recognized for his exceptional research influence, demonstrated by the production of multiple highly-cited papers that rank in the top 1% by citations for field and year in the Web of Science. As of now, he has had 366 peer-reviewed SCI publications with total citations over 15K and h-index of 65 by Publons. 18 of his articles are ranked as the top 1% most highly cited in his fields by the Web of Science.

 

Li is a professor at AOSC and ESSIC at University of Maryland. He has engaged in a wide range of studies concerning climate change, atmospheric physics, terrestrial and atmospheric environment.
