I. Wellness

  • Savor your vacation

“According to extensive research, people who take advantage of vacation time are significantly less likely to suffer coronary heart disease or heart attacks than those who do not. Vacations can help combat the everyday stresses in life, and can even help you to sleep better! So, if you’re taking time off this summer, try to savor it as much as possible. Turn your smart phone off, put your laptop away, and try to not think about work while you’re on vacation. Instead, focus on the people you’re with, the atmosphere around you, and the wonderful memories you’re creating.”

II. Sustainability

  • Make the switch to 100%

“If you haven’t already made the switch to 100 post-consumer recycled copy paper, now is the time. The University of Maryland Policies and Procedures for Environmentally Preferable Procurement (EPP) has been updated. As of July 2012, only general purpose office paper made from 100% post-consumer recycled content shall be procured. Our Master Contracts have excellent pricing on post-consumer and tree-free paper.
