Sutton-Grier elected as early career fellow by ESA

ESSIC Assistant Research Scientist Ariana Sutton-Grier was elected as a 2015 early career fellow by the Ecological Society of America (ESA).  Early Career Fellows are members who have advanced ecological knowledge and applications within 8 years of completing their doctoral training (or other terminal degree), and show promise of continuing to make outstanding contributions to a wide range of fields served by ESA.  They are elected for five years.

Awards Committee Chair Alan Hastings says that the program’s goals are to honor its members and to support their competitiveness and advancement to leadership positions in the Society, at their institutions, and in broader society.

ESA established its fellows program in 2012.
