A recent NASA study co-authored by several ESSIC scientists has been selected for inclusion in IOP Publishing’s permanent monthly highlight archive for August 2015. Originally published in Environmental Research Letters the study entitled, “Impact of urbanization on US surface climate,” found vegetation was essential for limiting city warming effects. ESSIC researchers Ping Zhang (2nd author), Georgy Mostovoy, and Marc Imhoff contributed to the study.
