NRC to debut climate change education materials, serve ice cream

Interested in climate change? Interested in ice cream? Chances are, the answer to at least one of these questions is “yes.”

The National Research Council is holding an event on Thursday, June 28, 2012, that caters to both of these interests. The NRC is inviting the public to the Koshland Science Museum to enjoy ice cream and watch the debut of a video “designed to help people understand the science of climate change and current state of knowledge,” according to the council’s “Climate Change of the National Academies” website. The video is complemented by a booklet.

ESSIC Director Antonio Busalacchi, who also serves as chair of the NRC’s Board on Atmospheric Sciences and Climate, will answer questions at the event.
