ESSIC / AOSC Professor Raghu Murtugudde was the author of two recently published Op-ed pieces in the Indian edition of the Huffington Post. The first article titled “Wait, Don't Push that Button If You Want To Slow Down Global Warming” suggests avoiding measures which attempt to reign in consumerism and instead seek out carbon-neutral energy sources and design new consumer products to use them. The second article titled The Carbon-Neutral Sapiens: Are We Poised For The Next Stage Of Human Evolution,” similarly recommends that we use our years of evolutionary inventiveness to solve the problem of global warming.
