ESSIC Faculty Research Assistant Patrick Meyers was selected as a recipient of a UMD Division of Information Technology (DIT) grant for visualization hardware. The DIT call for proposals was designed to help UMCP achieve national leadership status in the use of visualization for data exploration and results presentation. Meyer’s award totaled $6K and will be used in part to fund two workstations that will replicate visualization and display technologies employed by the National Weather Service (NWS).
