ESSIC Graduate Assistant Xiaoxu Tian, was recognized at the 11th annual NOAA/NESDIS Cooperative Research Program (CoRP) Science Symposium, as Best Speaker–2nd Place–for his talk, "A Physical Model for Television Frequency Interference (TFI) Correction of AMSR2 Data over Ocean near U. S. and Europe." The event, which took place September 16 – 17 at the University of Maryland Marriot Inn and Conference Center, was hosted by CICS-MD. Tian is advised by ESSIC visiting research professor, Xiaolei Zou.
