Busalacchi delivers climate-viticulture talk at AMS event

ESSIC Director Professor Antonio Busalacchi was the distinguished dinner speaker for the annual American Meteorological Society Washington Forum.

Busalacchi’s speech, “Impact of climate on global viticulture,” was part of the 2014 Forum theme, “Leveraging the enterprise: strengthening our value to society”.

Forum topics included advancements in shared research, technology development, improved access of shared resources and the societal benefit of these factors.

The AMS Commission on the Weather and Climate Enterprise organized the event, which ran from April 1 through April 3.

Dr. Kathryn Sullivan, NOAA administrator and under secretary for oceans and atmosphere, also spoke at the event.
