Arkin acknowledged for work with Weather History Time Machine

ESSIC Sr. Research Scientist Phil Arkin was acknowledged in a press release from San Diego State University for his contribution to the Weather History Time Machine, a new software program that will allow more researchers to access climate change models. The software is a collaboration between Arkin, San Diego State University Prof. Samuel Shen and NOAA climatologist Thomas M. Smith. The project funded by the National Science Foundation looks at the past and incorporates this historical data to help improve future predictions of climate change.
